Ny daglig leder til PGA of Norway

New General Manager for PGA of Norway

“PGA of Norway is very pleased to present Maiken Bing Paulsen as the new general manager of the interest organization. Maiken has been one of Norway’s best female golfers over the past 7-8 years, and she has competed on the Ladies European Tour since 2020,” says the chairman of PGA of Norway, Trond Baardseng. “We look forward to benefiting from Maiken’s work capacity, positive drive, and ambitions for our continued work,” Baardseng continues. “She will start on February 3rd.”

Bing Paulsen holds a Bachelor in Business Administration and Economics from Presbyterian College in the USA, where she played on a golf scholarship in Division 1 of the NCAA. Alongside her career as a professional golfer, she is also responsible for Asker Golf Club’s Girls Project 2025.

Bing Paulsen will continue the work on coach education, member services, and international cooperation after Trond Baardseng, who is now stepping down. Baardseng started PGA of Norway in 2003 and, in collaboration with NGF and Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences, developed educational programs for golf coaches that are among the best in Europe.

“I am really looking forward to this new chapter in my life,” says Maiken Bing Paulsen. “The position is currently 50%, so I will continue as a professional golfer internationally in parallel. It is inspiring to have the opportunity to contribute to the development of golf at a national level.”

PGA of Norway assists Norwegian golf clubs in their efforts to retain and develop their members. Through access to well-educated coaches, we ensure that clubs can offer high-quality training and instruction locally. Cooperation with NGF, PGA organizations in Europe, and other actors in Golf-Norway is also important in the future, she explains.

“There is room for more Norwegian players on the international stage, and PGA of Norway will, through advice and guidance, help more players succeed both in the transition to and in the life as a professional golfer. I look forward to shaping the future of PGA of Norway,” concludes Bing Paulsen.
